Job Description

Maximize the potential of our artists, worldbuilding and gameplay at Notiontheory by:

• developing and maintaining animation blueprints, including IK setups, animation layers, state machines, and procedural animations
• creating locomotion systems and realistic world interaction mechanics
• modifying and enhance animation assets to meet technical and artistic requirements
• analyzing human anatomy, body movements, deformations, and imperfections to create realistic animations
• working with our AI team to implement animations, transitions, procedural animations, and layers that align with NPC behaviors, dialogues, and interactions
• working independently while collaborating on high-level goals in a small team of experts
• proactively identifying opportunities to improve player experience, technical workflows, and team efficiency
• contributing to the research and development of our in-house animation tools

Skills & Requirements

• strong rigging and animation skills, with experience in character and animal anatomy
• excellent knowledge and usage of Maya/Blender and/or UE
• proven experience (portfolio) in realistic and/or cartoon animation, gaming or movie industry
• familiarity with Control Rig and Motion Matching in unreal is a plus
• fluency in English (written, spoken)
• working microphone and webcam
• strategic thinker
• excellent communicator
• you must play games, love games, and want to make games!
