Our major Airlines client is seeking a UX Writer to join their team for

the next 5 months for a 40 hour/week freelance assignment. This role is onsite in Chicago, IL.

Summary : We\'re looking for a seasoned and strategic UX Writer to

elevate the digital experience for our Airline client\'s workforce and associates. You\'ll craft intuitive, engaging content for websites, apps, emails, and digital signage, ensuring every touchpoint aligns with user needs and business goals.

This role is ideal for someone who can lead strategically but also

enjoys detail-oriented tasks like editing and proofreading. If you\'re as happy building a messaging framework as you are fixing a dangling modifier, you\'ll fit right in.

About the Work: \

-Shape content from concept to final polish - messaging frameworks, microcopy, proofreading, and everything in between.\ -Write and optimize content across platforms including our intranet, websites, emails, mobile apps, and digital signage.\ -Lead and contribute to content strategy/design efforts such as information architecture, navigation, and naming systems.\ -Proofread and fact-check content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand and style guides.\

• Collaborate with designers, researchers, developers, and stakeholders,

to deliver user-centered content.\ -Advocate for UX writing best practices, accessibility, and inclusive design.

Required skills and qualifications: \

-5+ years of professional writing experience, including UX writing or digital content design.\ -A portfolio showcasing compelling digital product content.\ -Strong content strategy skills - structure, hierarchy, naming, and systems thinking.\ -Exceptional editing and proofreading abilities.\ -Comfort with both strategic and tactical work.\ -Ability to manage multiple projects independently.\ -Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred skills and qualifications: \

-Experience with intranets, enterprise content, or internal communications.\ -Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive writing practices.\ -Conversational content design experience.\ -Familiarity with content management systems like Sitecore and SharePoint.\ -Understanding of AP style and/or working with in-house editorial guidelines.\ -Degree in English, journalism, communications, or related field-or equivalent experience.
