Senior Scrum Master – Agile Transformation -Melbourne (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Scrum Master to lead agile delivery and transformation initiatives in a greenfield environment . You will be a key driver of organisational-level agile maturity, bringing discipline, mindset coaching, and delivery focus to new and growing squads. This is an opportunity to shape agile foundations from the ground up, work closely with technical and business leaders, and roll up your sleeves to enable a high-performing delivery culture.

You will work across multiple agile teams , serve as a coach, facilitator, and delivery enabler , and partner with executives and product stakeholders to ensure alignment and agility in outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and scaling of agile frameworks in a greenfield environment.
• Establish and administer JIRA , including workflows, dashboards, and reporting structures that support transparency and alignment.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies – stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning, reviews, and backlog refinement – ensuring focus and purpose.
• Coach teams and stakeholders in Agile values, principles, and best practices (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Guide teams through delivery challenges, unblocking impediments and providing structure during delivery at risk.
• Promote a product-led mindset, working closely with Product Owners to drive customer-centric outcomes.
• Champion continuous improvement using actionable metrics such as team health, flow efficiency, and value delivery .
• Build strong stakeholder relationships, especially in bridging the gap between business and technical teams.
• Act as a change leader, helping to shift organisational culture and embed agility as a strategic enabler.

Essential Criteria

• 15+ years of IT experience with 7+ years of experience in Agile delivery with at recent 3+ years as a Scrum Master 
• Proven experience leading Agile transformation at the organisational or product-line level .
• Strong expertise in facilitating team agility and mentoring squads through evolving stages of maturity.
• Experience working in greenfield or low agile maturity environments , able to embed foundational ways of working.
• Excellent knowledge of JIRA administration , including setting up boards, epics, filters, and reports.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills – able to influence, coach, and guide diverse roles from team members to executives.
• Demonstrated ability to wear multiple hats : coach, delivery lead, facilitator, and servant leader.

• Experience in regulated or government environments preferred.

Desirable Criteria

• SAFe Agilist, Certified Scrum Master (CSM/PSM), or equivalent certifications.
• Exposure to DevOps environments, lean portfolio management, and product operating models.
