Office Automation Assistant

Position Description:

Network Runners, Inc is seeking an Office Automation Support Technician to provide administrative and technical support for shore infrastructure projects at the Facilities Design & Construction Center (FDCC) in Norfolk, VA. The FDCC is a field command under the Shore Infrastructure Logistics Center (SILC) and is the only U.S. Coast Guard command dedicated to executing new shore facility construction and major recapitalization projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide office/administrative/technical support services for the U.S. Coast Guard’s Facility Design and Construction Center (FDCC).
• Review as-built files to ensure archiving compliance and proper documentation.
• Assist the Design/Construction Project Managers with file searches for various types of construction projects.
• Prepare contractor discrepancy reports for as-built drawings that do not meet compliance requirements.
• Assist the Design/Construction Project Managers with creating and manipulating Library Cards for projects using the Coast Guard Technical Information Management System (CG-TIMS).
• Travel as needed for site visits and partnering conferences to provide administrative and technical support.
• Assist the Design/Construction Project Managers with administratively closing out contract actions by uploading final as-built files to CG-TIMS assuring satisfactory completion and inclusion of final reports and evaluations.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience with Microsoft Applications to produce letters, presentations, spreadsheets and email communications.
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years with digital archiving software in relation to maintaining digital document library.
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years with AutoCAD software experience.
• Familiarity with U.S. Coast Guard or Department of Defense (DoD) administrative processes.

Education:

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
