Role : Private Chef for Manhattan Residence, NYC

Location:   Manhattan, New York (West Village)

Contract:   Full-time, Permanent, 5 days per week

Salary:   Starting from $160,000+ per year DOE + benefits

Accommodation:   Not provided (live-out role)

Start Date:   Early September 2025 (with trial prior)

Guests:  2 principals + 3 teenage children every second week

Job description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Michelin-trained Private Chef for a UHNW family of two, based in Manhattan’s West Village. Every second week, the family’s three teenage children will also be present. The role requires a chef who can consistently provide healthy, protein-rich meals of exceptional quality, with a focus on seasonal produce and varied world cuisines.

The family are true food lovers   who value presentation, sourcing, and culinary creativity. They enjoy Mediterranean, Italian, Thai, Greek, and American cuisine, and require a chef who can adapt menus to suit their lifestyle, alternating between casual family-style buffets and refined plated dining. While the principals prefer kosher meat and source it from a trusted local butcher, no pork is consumed in the household.

The successful candidate will be a culinary-trained chef with a proven background in Michelin-starred restaurants as well as private households.

The family requires two meals per day, five days per week, with flexibility around days off (typically Sunday/Monday or Monday/Tuesday). The chef should be confident in creating daily family meals as well as more elevated plated meals when the family entertains.

This is a full-time live-out position with excellent employment benefits.

Candidates must be highly organised, passionate about seasonal cuisine, and capable of producing both healthy, everyday meals and sophisticated fine dining when requested. Occasional cooking at the family’s secondary homes (within one hour from Manhattan) may be required.

A cooking trial will be held over one or two days, maybe longer, before confirmation of employment.
