Step into the heartbeat of production

When the facility settles into its overnight rhythm, you’re the steady hand guiding the work. As our Manufacturing Operations Supervisor, you’ll shepherd a large team toward shipment targets, customer commitments, and daily production plans—while keeping safety, quality, and reliability front and center. You’ll partner with maintenance and production planners, collaborate across functions, and learn the full scope of how our business runs.

Location: Onsite — Cortland, NY (Operations Department). After your immersion period, you’ll transition to the overnight schedule. Required hours: 9:30 PM–7:30 AM.

What a night looks like

You begin by aligning the team on priorities and safety. You review metrics, remove roadblocks, and coordinate materials flow with suppliers, internal operations, and downstream customers. You keep an eye on manufacturing efficiency through operations information systems and make sure equipment—mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical—stays healthy through timely maintenance and troubleshooting support. Throughout the shift, you coach, course-correct, and ensure orders leave on time and to spec.

What you’ll lead and improve

• Provide clear direction and leadership to a large, diverse workforce through consistent, effective communication.
• Maintain a safe, reliable, and cost-effective manufacturing environment; support installation, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical equipment and instrumentation.
• Oversee the design, development, and upkeep of operations information systems to monitor and elevate manufacturing efficiency.
• Coordinate and integrate material and information flow among suppliers, manufacturing, distribution, and customers.
• Drive action plans using problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Own daily management and metrics reporting; track and act on trends, including LTIR.
• Lead your team to meet safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years of related experience; or Associate’s degree with 5 years; or 10 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• 2+ years applying continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for analysis and reporting.

Bonus points

• Experience working in a union environment.
• Familiarity with SAP and ADP eTime.
