Serving as a Law Enforcement Specialist (Firearms Instructor) GS-1801-11/12 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Office of the Associate Director for Training Operations, Core Training Operations Directorate, Office of Artesia Operations, Driver and Firearms Training Division located in Artesia, NM.
The primary purpose of this position serves as a Law Enforcement Specialist (Firearms Instructor) responsible in planning and conducting classroom, laboratory, and/or field instruction sessions as part of certain training programs. May be required to assist other branches and division. May be required to attend other instructor training programs.Typical duties include:

Appropriate safety practices will be utilized at all times. Safety gear, such as hearing and eye protection, will be used when needed.
