We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping operations and ensure top-tier cleanliness across all hotel areas. You will lead our housekeeping team, ensure their work meets our high standards of cleanliness, and go above and beyond guest expectations to achieve that “wow” factor for repeat business. You must have previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the hospitality industry.   • Keep a record of areas cleaned by room attendants and make a note of any issues such as room damage or maintenance requests
  • Supervise housekeeping staff as they perform daily assignments, including cleaning all guest rooms and public areas
  • Adhere to the department budget, oversee inventory, and order cleaning supplies
  • Arrange for cleaning equipment repairs as needed and keep all other equipment in good working condition
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce health standards.
  • Foster a positive, productive work environment.
  • Respond to guest concerns with professionalism and urgency.
  • Assist management with preparing an annual departmental budget of revenues and expenses.
  • Train housekeeping staff members on recognizing and reporting guest theft of hotel property.
  • Inspect employees' work performance and work areas, making corrections as needed.
  • Prepare and post work schedules in accordance with departmental staff guides.
  • Review, correct, approve, and present timecards as scheduled.
  • Review and adhere to all manuals and other policy updates.
  • Participate as an active member of the hotel safety and security committee, including the conduct and documentation of regularly scheduled safety and security committee meetings.
  • Clean guestrooms, public areas, the laundry, and other areas.
  • Perform other duties of subordinates during times of slow business and/or unavailable staff.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental services (EVS), including detailed cleaning processes and a wide range of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • At least 3 years of experience in a senior role in the housekeeping department
  • Must possess excellent leadership, organizing, and customer service skills
  • 2+ years of hospitality or guest services experience
  • Have a high school degree or equivalent education.
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic computer skills: bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Able to provide basic supervisory instructions in Spanish.
  • Able to operate equipment used for hotel housekeeping, such as vacuum cleaners, pressure cleaners, floor cleaning machines, carpet cleaning machines, commercial laundry equipment, and portable air cleaners. Able to use basic office equipment, including computers.
  • Have a high degree of leadership skills, including team building and motivation.
  • Have good communication and organizational skills.
  • Have a professional demeanor and attire.
  • Have good initiative, work habits, and flexibility.
  • Knowledgeable on OSHA regulations, health department rules, fire department regulations, hotel law, and the Company's safety, security, and health policies as they apply to hotel operations and all aspects of accommodating guests.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs., bend, kneel, climb ladders, and safely use cleaning chemicals.
