GIS Analyst – Full-Time Position
We are seeking a qualified GIS Analyst with 2+ years of professional GIS experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in ArcGIS Online applications and will act as a liaison between our internal teams and municipal clients to improve understanding and usage of GIS platforms and tools.
This role involves working closely with engineers and GIS staff, performing standard GIS tasks, and receiving training in the TRAISR program—a cloud-based, SaaS solution used by municipalities for asset and infrastructure management, community development, and code enforcement.
As our GIS department evolves, this position has potential for growth into a management role , with responsibilities over GIS team coordination and workload distribution.
Strong proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS suite: ArcMap, ArcToolbox, ArcCatalog, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online
Experience in geoprocessing, spatial/data analysis, cartography, and map topology
Understanding of relational databases (Microsoft Access, ArcView)
Familiarity with Survey123 and data extraction techniques for interpretation and reporting
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
Experience with ArcGIS version 10.x and ArcGISPro 2.x
Geodatabase creation and management in ArcCatalog
Scripting experience (Python, ModelBuilder, VB, Shell, Javascript)
Familiarity with ArcGIS Server and ESRI’s SDE, SQL Server, or other relational databases
Post-processing of GPS data and field data collection using Trimble GPS
Experience creating Macros in Excel and using Microsoft Access
Importing construction as-built geometry
Creating shapefiles to support survey and engineering teams
Developing exhibits for construction projects, grant applications, and design reports
Processing stormwater and sanitary sewer data
Knowledge of Asset Management Systems
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or AutoCAD Map
Geographic data integration across CAD and GIS platforms
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geography, GIS, or related field preferred.
