Supervises Financial Analysts
- Plans and manages all federal cash draws, revenue receipts and reconciliations to ensure accountability of all funds; reviews the Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS), federal payment systems, third party payment systems (e.g. CBOSS) and accounts receivable reports and refund module to ensure revenue is receipted and coded appropriately;
- Recommends solutions to resolve improperly drawn cash or improperly coded revenue; coordinates federal record keeping; analyzes and approves federal draws;
- Assists manager with planning and managing the department’s federal and state cash management activities (e.g., report schedules, audit requests);
- Trains and supervises assigned staff (e.g., assigns and reviews work for accuracy, reviews and approves time off requests; interviews and selects applicants for vacant positions; conducts performance evaluations);
- Assists manager in directing and managing overall revenue management and control operations (e.g., reviews and approves revenue deposits and monitors cash balances in federal systems).
Develops And Implements Reports And Compliance Measures - Analyzes and evaluates operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, rules and regulations;
- Recommends current federal draw policies and procedures as necessary;
- Oversees preparation of various reports (e.g., monthly cash/grant reconciliation, end of year reports, yearly comparison reports);
- Prepares weekly/monthly performance reports of unit activities.
Performs Other Revenue-related Duties - As assigned, acts for the manager in his/her absence.
- Serves as the revenue liaison with various sources (OBM, external customers, online payment processors, auditors) regarding revenue operations.
- Attends meetings, conferences and trainings as required.
The work location of this position is 25 South Front Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215. You will be required to report to this work location full-time, if selected.
If this position is filled with an internal employee who has an approved telework agreement, the employee may be required to report in-person during the initial training period.
54 mos. exp. or 54 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.
- Or completion of graduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.
- Or 12 mos. exp. as Senior Financial Analyst, 66563.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 mos. of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
