Position Overview

Choice Logistics is seeking an experienced professional to join our Finance and Analytics team in the role of Business Intelligence Analyst. This position will report to the Vice President of Strategic Finance and will play a key role in rolling out a new suite of reporting intended to increase the quality of our client experience and drive stronger operational efficiency.  In addition to a strong technical background, the Business Intelligence Analyst should possess strong skills in collaboration, teamwork, adaptability and communication.

Job Responsibilities

Business Intelligence Analyst will be performing following tasks:

  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Develop, maintain, and optimize reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
    • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that can inform business decisions.
    • Create and automate recurring reports for key stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work closely with business leaders and department heads to gather requirements and define key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Translate business questions into technical requirements and data models.
    • Present analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Data Management & Quality:
    • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.
    • Assist in data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure the integrity and reliability of all reporting.
    • Collaborate with the IT or data engineering team on data pipeline improvements and data model design.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, or a similar role.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Expertise with at least one major BI tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tell a story with data.
  • Strong knowledge of relational database design, data warehousing, reporting and analytics.
