Our company, Carbon Solutions Group (CSG), is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for the exciting role of Accounting and Finance Intern. As a crucial part of our Finance and Accounting team, this internship provides a phenomenal opportunity for a student eager to gain practical experience within the renewable energy sector.

This position is fully remote, allowing for a flexible and adaptable work environment. The role focuses on supporting accounting principles, energy markets and financial records and reporting. You must be authorized to work in the United States for this internship.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and other general ledger accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain and update accounting records and files.
• Reconciling large amounts of data and suggesting improved processes.
• Help prepare financial reports and documents.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
